Tata Shaktee GC Sheets
Tata Steel’s flagship brand in galvanised corrugated sheets.
Stronger and longer lasting than ordinary GC sheets
Tata Shaktee is Tata Steel’s flagship brand in the field of galvanised corrugated sheets. Over the years, Tata Steel has altered the landscape of the roofing industry in India. The company has been a pioneer in the field of manufacturing superior quality Tata Shaktee Galvanised Corrugated (GC) sheets. Manufactured with world class technological expertise, these GC sheets are stronger and longer lasting than any other ordinary GC sheets.
Tata Shaktee GC sheets are not only made of virgin steel processed at Tata Steel’s state-of-the-art Cold Rolling Mill, but also have uniform zinc coating on them, which gives them the required strength to fight the weather and to last longest. Living up to the company’s assurance of good quality and trustworthy products, these sheets are manufactured to exact parameters of thickness, length, width and zinc coating as per the specified requirements. In addition, Tata Shaktee GC sheets are ISI certified under the Bureau of Indian Standards (IS 277). All in all, Tata Shaktee GC sheets give more value for money and are the best choice for anyone looking for a product that will perform year after year.
What you are actually paying for
Accurate tempering in Tata Shaktee GC sheets prevents cracks and fissures from occurring during drilling.
High tensile strength (approx. 700 MPa) of Tata Shaktee GC sheets neutralises natural forces like hailstorms and other external forces.
Superior technology and process control ensure proper surface cleaning before coating. This means a cleaner steel surface with excellent zinc adherence.
Uniform 120 gsm zinc coating, ensured by a sophisticated feed-forward X-ray coating gauge, results in even surface protection.
Even corrugations ensure perfect overlapping, which results in improved weather-proofing. There is no unwanted retention of particles and moisture between overlapped joints, which prevents corrosion originating from the overlap.
Use of the best chromate solution at the galvanising stage prevents the formation of white rust on the sheets. As a result, sheet life is enhanced.
The length of the sheet is equal to the standard specified length, giving you true value for money.
Tata Shaktee GC sheets come with assured thickness. The tolerance maintained is more stringent than the standards defined by the Bureau of Indian Standards.
Standard, Wide and Wider GC sheets
Standard GC Sheets — 800 mm, 11 corrugations
Tata Shaktee GC sheets give you the twin benefits of superior quality and super savings. The advantages of using Tata Shaktee 800 mm GC sheets over ordinary GC sheets are:
- Even corrugations ensure perfect overlapping, which results in perfect weatherproofing. There is no unwanted moisture or particle retention, and this prevents corrosion rising from overlapping.
- The length of the sheet is equal to the standard specified length, giving you true value for money.
- High tensile strength (approx. 700 MPa) ensures greater resistance to natural forces like hailstorms and other external forces.
Wide GC Sheets — 910 mm, 13 corrugations
Tata Shaktee presents 910 mm GC sheets in the Indian market. With 13 corrugations and a width of 910 mm, they give you the added benefit of superior quality at super savings while building your house. The advantages over standard 800 mm (11 corrugations) sheets are:
- Fewer sheets required. Since 910 mm sheets are 13% wider than standard 800 mm sheets, fewer are needed to cover the same roof area.
- Fewer joints required. Fewer overlaps reduce both wastage and the number of joints. Fewer holes need to be drilled, so there are fewer seepage points on the roof — which increases sheet life.
- Greater savings. Fewer sheets and accessories are required, so labour cost falls too.
Wider GC Sheets — 1220 mm, 15 corrugations
Tata Shaktee brings you the widest, most economical GC sheets in the Indian market. With 15 corrugations and a width of 1220 mm, the advantages over standard 840 mm (11 corrugations) sheets are:
- Fewer sheets required. To cover an area of 3.05 m × 30.5 m, only 28 sheets of 1220 mm Tata Shaktee GC sheets are required.
- Fewer joints and fewer seepage points. Wider sheets allow fewer overlaps, which reduces wastage and the number of joints.
- Fewer accessories required. Fewer sheets and accessories mean lower labour cost.
- Greater savings across every part of the job.
